High-risk neuroblastoma (NB) is characterized by MYCN amplification and human telomerase reverse transcriptase rearrangement, contributing to telomerase activation and a poor prognosis. The development of novel antitumor strategy for high-risk NB is an urgent issue. Here we demonstrate the therapeutic potential of the telomerase-targeted oncolytic adenoviruses (OBP-301, tumor suppressor p53-armed OBP-702, and fiber-modified OBP-502) in monotherapy and combination therapy with autophagy inducer or immunotherapy against human and mouse NB cells. Our results suggest that telomerase-targeted oncolytic adenoviruses are promising antitumor agents for high-risk NB.
