研究代表者と全ての分担者は、今までの調査結果の積み重ねを元に執筆に取り掛かった。締め切りを設け互いの草稿を読んでコメントし合っ上で。日本語または英語による論文を発表することができた。
鄭と宮川は、それぞれが文化人類学者と社会学者として、また個々の研究者としての類似点を相違点を擦り合わせるプロセスを何度も踏んだ。鄭が「なりゆき」、宮川が「あそび」というコンセプトを提示し、東日本大震災後の在日コリアンが支援者となったケースについて分析した。マイノリティは被害者や支援を受ける側として語られることが多い中、被害や困難を経験しているが故の支援の質に光を当てることができたのは本論の貢献と思われる。
Uesugiは本研究の成果を、岡山大学のDiscovery Program for Global Learnersでの英語による医療や環境人類学の専門教育に生かした経験を、英語の文献を中心に引用しながら "Disasterizing Fukushima's Nuclear Disaster: Pedagogical Reflection on Anthropology of Disaster"という論文にまとめた。研究代表者の鄭はアメリカの大学に教員として採用された際、研究を教育に生かすようにDeanから言われたことが印象的で、それを実践してきたが、Uesugiの論考も、研究を教育に生かしたい我々の示唆に富む内容となっている。
政治学者の大澤は、東日本大震災の被害者が避難先の一つとして多くの人々が選択した岡山県内において、県議会議員がどのような役割をになったかを柱に、「住宅支援」「就労支援」「教育支援」「支援を届けるスステムの改善」「放射能被害軽減のための支援策」「医療支援」「陳情」といったトピックごとの分析を行った。鄭と宮川の論文でも触れた個人レベルの支援と政治レベルの互換性も明らかにしている。 -

令和3年度は前年度に引き続き、科学技術研究、科学史、科学と法、アレルギー学と免疫学に関する先行研究（歴史）を精読し、Seminar in Medical Anthropologyという学部生向けの講義科目のためにまとめた。また、科研費で雇った事務補佐員の補助を受けて、近年のアレルギー学の動向が反映されているジャーナル論文を収集してもらい、要旨をまとめてもらった。
トピックに関するこれまでの先行研究の収集は3つのテーマに分けて行ってきた。１）規制：日本とアメリカとヨーロッパを中心にアレルゲン表示の規制に関する法律とその歴史的推移を調べはじめた。またその制定の過程と正当性に関する政府のレポートなどの収集も行っている。２）科学史：1960年代のimmunoglobulin E (IgE)やragweedとantigen Eに関するジャーナル論文を集め、その歴史を書く準備をしている。近年の発展に関しては、アレルギーワクチンの可能性についての論文を読んでいる。３）訴訟：学校におけるアレルゲンフリー空間を求めたアレルギー関連の訴訟の判例をGoogle scholarをとおして収集し、精読し始めた（令和３年度は、この部分に関してはあまり進んでいない）。 これらのほかに、以下の分野における理論の先行研究をアップデートし、まとめを学部授業の準備と重ねて行った。トピックに関する先行研究のまとめはまだ文章にしていないが、理論に関しては少し文章にし始めている。 -

28年度は、公害の歴史と裁判資料の精読、日本文化人類学会誌の研究展望論文「軍事環境人類学の展望」（文化人類学 81(1), 93-107, 2016 ）の最終校正を行ったほかに、２回の学会発表と１回のシンポジウム発表、そして２９年度初頭の学会発表の準備を行った。
1)国際人類学会（IUAES）＠ドゥブロブニク、クロアチア(５月４-９日)：パネル「Unravelling Uncertainty: tactics and aesthetics of living with toxic contamination」のオーガナイザーとして参加。研究発表「Risk, uncertainty and witnesses of Agent Orange」。
2)日本文化人類学会＠南山大学（５月２９日）研究発表「曖昧さの倫理～毒物リスクと不在の「被害者」」。
3)フィールドネット・ラウンジ・シンポジウム 「「毒」のバイオグラフィー学際的な知の交差を通じて現代世界のフィールドワーク手法を考える」（2017年1月21日＠東京外語大学）研究発表：「「枯葉剤は毒ではない」…？アルーイからブルックリンへ」
4)カナダ文化人類学会（CASCA）・国際人類学会（IUAES）合同大会（２０１７年５月２日～７日）：パネル「Poison, Movements and Communities」のオーガナイザー、「Toxic Epidemic/Toxic Communities」の発表準備。
