We report the B-11 and Pt-195 NMR measurements in non-centrosymmetric superconductors Li-2(Pd1-xPtx)(3)B (x = 0.0, 0.2, 0.5, 1.0). From the measurements of spin-lattice relaxation time (T-1), we found that there was a coherence peak (CP) just below superconducting transition temperature (T-c) for x = 0-0.5 but no CP in x = 1. We demonstrated that the system for x = 0-0.5 were BCS superconductors but there existed line node in the superconducting gap for x = 1.0. The Pt-195 Knight Shift in x = 0.2 decreased below T-c indicating spin-singlet state. The results showed that BCS superconducting state evolves into an exotic state with line-nodes in the gap function when x is increased, as the spin-orbit coupling is enhanced. (C) 2010 Elsevier B.V. We report on a pressure- (P-)induced evolution of superconductivity and spin correlations in CeIrIn5 via the In-115 nuclear-spin-lattice-relaxation rate measurements. We find that applying pressure suppresses dramatically the antiferromagnetic fluctuations that are strong at ambient pressure. At P=2.1 GPa, T-c increases to T-c=0.8 K, which is twice T-c (P=0 GPa), in the background of Fermi-liquid state. This is in sharp contrast to the previous case in which a negative, chemical pressure (replacing Ir with Rh) enhances magnetic interaction and increases T-c. Our results suggest that multiple mechanisms work to produce superconductivity in the same compound CeIrIn5.

We report Ge-73-NMR/NQR measurements on the itinerant ferromagnetic (FM) superconductor UGe2 at P = 1.2 GPa. The temperature (T) dependence of the nuclear spin lattice relaxation rate (1/T-1) at zero field has demonstrated the onset of the superconducting (SC) transition at T-c = 0.7 K. The lack of a coherence peak in 1/T-1 just below T-c, followed by a T-3-like behavior, provide compelling evidence for the unconventional nature of the SC state that coexists with the FM state on a microscopic scale in UGe2. We report systematic evolution of superconducting (SC) characteristic of heavy-fermion superconductor CeCoIn5 via the nuclear-quadrupole-resonance (NQR) measurement under pressure (P). The temperature dependence of nuclear spin - lattice relaxation rate (1/T-1) below T-C has revealed that once the value of SC energy gap (2 Delta(0)/k(B)T(C)) slightly increases in P<0.45 GPa, with further increasing P, it decreases significantly. By contrast, T-C increases monotonously up to 2.6 K as P increases up to 1 GPa, exhibiting a saturation in P = 1.0-1.5 GPa. (C) 2003 Elsevier B. V. All rights reserved.

We report a coexistence of superconductivity and antiferromagnetism in five-layered compound HgBa2Ca4Cu5Oy (Hg-1245) with T-c=108 K, which is composed of two types of CuO2 planes in a unit cell; three inner planes (IP's) and two outer planes (OP's). The Cu-NMR study has revealed that the optimally doped OP undergoes a superconducting (SC) transition at T-c=108 K, whereas the three underdoped IP's do an antiferromagnetic (AF) transition below T(N)similar to60 K with the Cu moments of similar to(0.3-0.4)mu(B). Thus bulk superconductivity with a high value of T-c=108 K and a static AF ordering at T-N=60 K are realized in the alternating AF and SC layers. The AF-spin polarization at the IP is found to induce the Cu moments of similar to0.02mu(B) at the SC OP, which is the AF proximity effect into the SC OP.
