    The purpose of this paper is to propose a base model to assess art class lesson plans that promote students' creativity and social-cultural engagement. We analyze various learning principles that focus on students' agency as well as social-cultural interaction. The model is reviewed through two perspectives, art learning as creative actions and as a way of social-cultural engagement, in order to evaluate students' self-directed creativity and peer interaction as effective learning process.Through the applications of the model in the planning, execution, and reflection phases in multiple art classes, we verify the versatility of this model as an assessment tool across various art education settings.

    <p>The aim of the present study was to clarify the significance of inclusiveness in art education curriculum, keeping in mind the concepts of future societies and social inclusion. Furthermore, the study sought to clarify the position of diversity and inclusiveness in art education curriculum, on the basis of research and implementation since 2009. While reviewing changes in design, which is one of the areas of study in art education, by following the changes in users' perceptions since the Industrial Revolution and particularly since the 1960s, we explored the relation between design and art education and approached the elements that are essential for curriculum construction from the perspective of design. We also clarified the issues in this research team's previous trial curriculum and conducted a comparison with the design structure plan Future Cone with respect to the Art Education Nurturing Creativity through Encounters with Society (ANCS) Model curriculum that is currently being implemented. We redefined it from the perspectives of social construction based on human-centric design, a sustainable society, and future possibilities.</p>

    <p>The aim of this research is to develop a long-term art education curriculum, covering all grades from elementary school to high school, in order to cultivate a stance toward independent learning whereby school children and young students nurture their own creativity, and through that process consider the future, discover new values and issues in their local society, and then take steps toward achievement or solutions. In the development process, we attempted to create a model for "Art Education Nurturing Creativity through Encounters with Society" (ANCS). As a result, it was found that broadening of awareness of subjects of expression to social participation, and repeating once again themes that bring convergence onto one's own inner life is correlated with awareness by junior high school students of the four perspectives.</p>

    <p>This study aims to construct a learning curriculum centered around universal design to cultivate students' abilities of thinking, judging, expressing and other abilities that are necessary to solve issues in local communities, and to develop the attitudes of voluntarily undertaking learning. Upon implementing the long-term curriculum, which is the bread and butter of the overall curriculum, we referred to the creation of the achievement degree index of the four abilities (self acceptance, self understanding, empathy, deep observation, willingness to participate in activities of the society), and research and evaluation method on the preceding studies to create the index. As a result, correlation was observed between the abilities indicated in the achievement degree index and the acquired abilities.</p>

    This research aims to compose a provisional art learning curriculum for students from the elementary to high school education based on the concept of Universal Design (UD). Such curriculum would improve students' creativity and consideration towards different individuals, local community and environment, leading to development of higher practical skills such as problem-finding and solving. To create frameworks for learning material composition of a long-term curriculum, I designed a model for a "provisional UD learning curriculum" for elementary and secondary schools using the action research process. In this model, the concept of UD was reshaped as gentleness consisting of a cyclic process: "think–find–express–provide". Implementation of the model clarified viewpoints of the students in the field of design, as well as characteristics and tendencies at each development stage.

    本研究は、前申請の課題「創造性による課題発見・解決力を育む美術教育カリキュラム開発のための実践的研究」の継続研究にあたる。研究目的は、ユニバーサルデザイン(以下UDと表記)やヒューマンセンタードデザイン(以下HCDと表記)の概念を基軸に、児童・生徒が主体的に地域社会で新たな価値や課題を見出す視点を創造し、それらを達成、克服するために「問い」を立て、学習や探究に向かう力を醸成する美術教育カリキュラムの開発を目指すものである。しかし、令和3年度COVID-19による影響のため、小学校、中学校等での調査ができない状況か続いため、調査方法を変更せざるを得ない状況だった。
    1)創造性が社会と出会う美術教育のHPでの児童生徒の家庭学習の研究用ページの設置と運用教育現場、研究機関に本研究の重要性を周知するために、HP『創造性が社会と出会う芸術教育(ANCS)』(https://www.ancs.site/)の設置し、その中で、創造性を高める授業の紹介や、家庭学習で創造性を育む学習コンテンツを作成、紹介をしている。HPから授業実践をしている内容も合わせて紹介し、その成果をHP上で公開で検証するシステムを構築した。また、小学校、中学校で、美術教員が中心になり、すべての教科、総合的な学習の時間でUDやHCDの考え方を基にした創造性を高める実践をすすめている。
    2)1)での成果の一部の成果を書籍でまとめている。内容は教科の枠を超えた創造性を育むための理論と実践事例を述べたものである。
    3)同様に1)の成果の一部を国際的な創造性研究フォーラムをオンラインで開催し、発表している。美術教育をベースに学習意欲を持続させ、かつ創造的に社会との接点を見出させるSTEAM型の研究実践を行っているアメリカLesley Universityや中国、台湾の研究機関と、創造性教育に必要なコンピテンシーについて協議を行った。

    本研究の目的は、ユニバーサルデザイン(UD)の概念を基軸とした前申請の美術教育の学習モデルの成果を踏まえ、創造性をベースにした授業モデルと達成度指標の構築し、実践、検討を行うことである。その達成のために、平成31年度(令和元年度)では以下の研究を中心に行った。
    1)アメリカ・中国での美術教育を基軸とした創造性教育の情報収集および大学間レベルでの研究推進機関の立ち上げ
    本研究と同じく、美術教育をベースに学習意欲を持続させ、かつ創造的に社会との接点を見出させるSTEAM型の研究実践を行っているアメリカLesley UniversityやBoston Children'Museumとオンラインで情報を共有した。一方、中国の四川師範大学、浙江師範大とは訪問の上、直接討議し、芸術教育における創造性の重要性について共通認識を行った。アメリカ、中国の研究機関とも、研究を進める方向で同意した。また、Institute for Human Centered Design office とのuser/expertの見解についての共同研究などを行った。そして、以上の大学間連携によるカリキュラム検討を行うため、岡山大学国際創造性教育研究所を設置し国際的な研究を始めた。
    2)創造性が社会と出会う美術教育の過年度のまとめの学会論文発表とHPの開設
    多く教育現場、研究機関に本研究の重要性を周知するために、HP『創造性が社会と出会う芸術教育(ANCS)』(https://www.ancs.site/)の設置を行い、教員による造形体験の研修会の主催、および、コロナ禍での家庭学習における創造性の育成の学習課題の提示等を行った。また、大学間連携等による研究成果を2つの学術論文にまとめ、両方とも別の日本学術会議協力学術研究団体の学会での発表に至った。

    As a part of this study, 23 teachers from nationwide elementary schools, junior high schools, and high schools conducted arts and crafts and art classes on the basis of the concept of universal design. For these lessons, the teachers established “four attainment targets” for fostering respect for each other among individuals through art education that respects students’ individuality. They also developed the “Art Education Nurturing Creativity through Encounters with Society(ANCS) Model”, a system to facilitate the construction of learning models on the basis of the attainment targets matching the development of individual students.
    In terms of the structure of lessons designed using the ANCS Model, there was a tendency of having problem awareness in the expressions to focus on the internal mind or society depending on which of the four attainment targets was prioritized. The findings were presented at a meeting of the International Society for Education through Art.
